NEWCASTLE

BASKETBALL & SPORTS CAMPS (Ages 5-12)

Location: Newcastle & District Recreation Complex (NDRC) 1780 Rudell Road Newcastle

Coaches and staff are committed to developing individual skills, introducing concepts of team play and improving the over-all fitness levels of the players.  Players are grouped according to their age and skill level to learn the fundamental skills and principles of the game.  Participants will show improvement in confidence levels, encouraging them to continue their interest and passion for the game of basketball.

Week 1:        August 5-8 Tuesday-Friday, 9am-3pm ($160/week)

Week 2:        August 18-22  Monday-Friday 9am-3pm ($200/week)

Week 3:        August 25-29 Monday-Friday 9am-3pm ($200/week)


BOWMANVILLE

SPORTS & ADVENTURE CAMPS (Ages 5-8)

Location: Clarington’s Wellness Path (CWP) 103 King Street East Bowmanville

The goal of the program is to encourage basic movements through multi-sports-arts related activities and games while underlining the importance of healthy living, teamwork and character development.  Multiple sporting activities include Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Lacrosse, Running, Tennis, Track and Field, Volleyball, etc...

   
Week 1:        July 21-25 Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm ($200/week)


Week 2:        July 28 - August 1 Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm ($200/week)

Week 3:        August 11-15 Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm ($200/week)

Skill Development - Each session begins with 30 minutes of skill development including:

  •          Ball Handling
  •          Passing
  •          Shooting
  •          Defense
  •          Footwork
  •          Rebounding

Competition - Following warm-up and skill development, players participate in structured competitions with a focus on teamwork and fair play.  Participants will show improvement in confidence levels, encouraging them to continue their interest and passion for the game of basketball.  CBC exposes players to a competitive, but friendly environment.  It also offers opportunities to train and excel at a higher level, through the Clarington Titans Rep Basketball Program.
